The present thesis aims to understand the possible object of knowledge of school physical education from the perspective of historical-critical pedagogy. It is a theoretical-bibliographic research, whose problem is thus established: which analytical categories, based on historical-critical pedagogy, can contribute to the identification and understanding of the object of knowledge of physical education in school?
