Abstract

The Nursing School at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (EEUFMG) has taken part in the education of technical health workers for 25 years keeping in line with the developments in the health and nursing area. The objective of this study was to analyse the methodological proposal employed by the EEUFMG in partnership with the Ministry of Health, taking as reference the evaluation process used in the courses (nursing technicians and community health workers). The construction of the syllabuses was based in the critical reflective pedagogical concept and its organization enabled the articulation between theory and practice and the topics interdisciplinarity. In constructing the evaluation criteria an evaluation conception that goes beyond the emphasis on measurement, description, and judgment was used. As a result, most students pointed out that the critical methodology and the integrated curriculum model facilitated the teaching-earning process.
