Abstract

This article is a reflection on mother-infant care and nursing in family health, based on the literature and the experience of the authors. Among the limitations are: the number of people registered, the vast territory and the lack of time because of the demand. In the search for solutions, resources were found in the team and inter-sectorial partnerships, seeking to care for these customers in a less normatized way and closer to a wide concept of health. Obstacles and possibilities must be discussed in order to provide input for the training of nurses, as well as to improve the organization of the Family Health Program to improve the quality of care
