Abstract

It is a bibliographical revision study of skin injuries to newborn children being treated in the neonatal intensive care unit. In this article, the nursing staff's attributions and responsibilities in taking care of newborn children, as well as the need for especial care are commented. The need for protocols and continued education for quality nursing assistance becomes evident.
