This is a case study of a family, carried out through home visits, using the Calgary Model of Evaluation and Intervention in Families (MCAIF). This family has six people living in poor social and economic conditions, and with complex health problems. Assistance was provided and, once the bond was established, the support and frequent visits contributed to reduce some difficulties. Caring for the family using this model allowed for a wider view of the family, an understanding of the internal and external relations and a balance between strengths and weaknesses.Downloads
