Information science under Thomas Kuhn`s paradigmatic view: elements for reflection

Abstract

This paper is concerned with diversified concepts proposed by many researchers, about nature and scope of the expressions science, information and information science. It also cites some medular propositions taken from Kuhn's works and, finally, analyses the expression technology, confronting it with the context of those approaches. The paper intends to establish a didactic point of view - among many others, surely feasibles and opportunes which could reinforce the dynamics and amplitude of the theme under scrutiny and to contribute to the reflection about the highly contextualized nature of information science.
