Information science as a scientific field

Abstract

Theoretical-methodological analisis of information science as to its scientific status , and of the possibilities of its constituing a mature field of knowledge. Kuhn's conceptual framework is utilized as a reference. The discussion is related to the same debate taken place in the social sciences during the seventies and eighties.
