Abstract

The present study consists of analyzing the way that transgenderity was represented in television fiction, more specifically, in the context of teledramaturgy, through the characters Ninete (Rogéria), in the soap opera Tieta (1989); Ramona (Claudia Raia), in The Daughters of the Mother (2001), and; Dona Roma (Miguel Magno), in the plot The Moon Told Me (2005). And from that, understand how such representation intents were consistent with reality and, above all, as sociocultural and informative instruments/elements to bring knowledge about the topic to viewers and, consequently, to the population.
